I am running as a Republican for the 8th District Senate seat.  I believe that the people of Eastern Jackson County deserve a genuine conservative Senator who represents their values. When I first ran for elective office, I did so with the intent of representing the people and not special interests, and for my six years in Jefferson City I have stayed true to that ideal.

All too often politicians get to Jefferson City and forget who they work for. I am proud to have held an open forum or a town hall meeting every March during spring break for the six years that I have served in the Missouri House. As your next State Senator, I vow to continue to listen to you and to continue my tradition of holding a town hall meeting every March.

I will bring conservative principles and values to bear on the decisions that I make on your behalf.  I’ll work hard to make your values integral to legislation in Jefferson City.

As your Senator, I will serve with openness, honesty and the highest ethical standards.  I have made my reputation, not as one who follows the party line, but as a man who serves his constituents with genuine concern.  I intend to keep that reputation.  I would be honored to be your Senator in the Missouri Senate.
